The sad sad christmas story

This 14 year old girl was kicked out of her house because her dad told her she was a burden and could not earn money. Her mother was dead already then. And then, she had nowhere to go so she decided to sit on the roadside under this maple tree. She also had no money with her and christmas was only 3 days away. She wanted to get a present for her dead mom and so she had nothing to sell so her last resort was to go to people's house begging for some money. On the way, she saw this kid with his mom all happy and talking and she immediately thought back of the past when her mom was holding her hand walking down the streets. The money she collected was not a lot and so she decided to not spend any of the money on food and decided to starve. On christmas day, she managed to buy the present and wanted to bring it to her mother on that day itself but it was snowing heavily. She insisted on going and on the way there, she was very weak because of not eating any food at all and because of the harsh weather but she persevered and when she placed the present on her mother's tombstone and said Merry Christmas, she died. And the last maple leaf from a snow filled tree fell off onto the ground.
